The Basics

With all the junk information and chaos on the Internet, we forget to focus on the big picture, in this case- having the basics down!

Focused TOO Much on the Details

For instance I was asked in an email the other day,

“what should I take creatine with for a higher absorption rate?”

Fortunately I know this person pretty well, so I knew that he didn’t take creatine on a regular basis nor stick with a basic clean diet to fuel himself.

My response:

“Take your creatine on a consistent basis so that there’s saturation, second, stick with your complete diet- veggies, fruit, good fats, lean protein, (starchy carbs from natural sources after the workout).”

In this case, he just had to stick with the basics:

  1. Take creatine routinely
  2. Eat a clean diet

Progression

Once you have the basics down, THAN you can get into the specific details. But if you don’t have the basics down the minor details are a waste of your time. It’s like focusing on the curtains of a house when you haven’t even started building the house…

While it’s a simple method and maybe boring, it’s the right way to progress…so hit the BASICS!
